What's the black USB thing for?
We receive several phone calls each week asking 'what is the black USB thingy?', which was supplied with a Foxwell tool.
Here's the 'thingy' in question: Any ideas? No? How about now? Still no idea? Note the slot down the side of the USB connector. It's the perfect size for a Micro SD card. Yes - it's a Micro SD card reader. The current range of Foxwell tools can be updated by connecting the tool to a PC with the supplied mini-USB cable, and selecting the Update mode on the tool, but it's a relatively slow process. If you take the SD card out of the tool and plug it directly into the PC using this card reader, the FoxAssist software will still be able to see and update it, and the process will be a lot quicker - especially for large updates. |
