Notes
on database content
The fault code definitions contained within the software have been researched and
included as accurately as possible.
Manufacturers are permitted to change the definitions of the manufacturer-specific codes
without notice, and are not required to use the same definition for all models/systems.
Where multiple definitions have been found for a particular code, we have included them
where possible.
Please note that Gendan Limited cannot be held responsible for inaccurate or incomplete
information within the database - definitions are provided as a guide only.
You should:
-
always perform additional work to confirm the accuracy of a fault code definition
-
never replace parts on the basis of a fault code alone - further testing should
be performed
Please be aware that fault codes can be caused by a fault elsewhere on the engine,
electrical system or other system within the car. Fault code definitions
should be used in conjunction with car service manuals or other documentation
to establish the root cause of the fault.
